Important Information and Booking Conditions for La Vernière Cordais

We want your stay at La Vernière Cordais to be as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. To ensure a smooth experience for you and for our future guests, please take a moment to read the important details and booking conditions outlined below.

Accessibility Information:
The gîte is arranged over two levels. The living area (open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge) is located on the ground floor, with the bedrooms and bathroom situated on the upper floor. Access to the upper level is via an internal staircase comprising 14 steps. The property is therefore not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with significant mobility impairments. Access to the entrance is via the courtyard, which has a gravel surface. There is one step between the courtyard and the main entrance (French doors). The parking area is located approximately 30 steps from the gîte entrance. Booking Deposit (to secure your dates)

To secure your reservation, a 25% non‑refundable booking deposit is required at the time of booking. Your dates are confirmed once this payment has been received, and you will receive written confirmation of booking by email.

All payments must be made in euros (€).

Remaining Balance

The remaining 75% balance is due 6 weeks (42 days) before arrival.

Security Deposit (cash on arrival)

A €200 security deposit is payable in cash upon arrival. It will be returned at the end of your stay provided:

• no damage has occurred,

• no items are missing,

• no excessive cleaning is required,

• and the gîte is left clean and tidy.

Pricing 2026 / 2027

Included in Your Rental Price:
Our prices include the taxe de séjour (tourist tax), electricity, household linen, and towels. For stays longer than one week, we offer a complimentary linen change after the first week and weekly thereafter.

Insurance and Liability:
Please note that our insurance does not cover cancelled travel, personal belongings, or any public liability or health incidents affecting guests. We strongly recommend that you obtain adequate travel insurance to cover these risks.

Booking Process:
Bookings can be made by the booking form online or email directly via la.verniere.cordais@gmail.com. Full payment instructions and terms will be provided upon booking inquiry.

Cancellation Policy:
We understand that plans can change. However, to protect both parties, the following cancellation charges apply based on the timing of cancellations relative to the start date of your stay. Cancellation charges apply to the total rental cost, minus the 25% non‑refundable deposit.

• 1–14 days before arrival: 100% of rental cost (minus deposit)

• 15–30 days before arrival: 75% of rental cost (minus deposit)

• 31–60 days before arrival: 50% of rental cost (minus deposit)

• 61+ days before arrival: Full refund of rental cost (minus deposit)

If you reduce your rental period and we are unable to re-book the unsold dates, you will be liable for a minimum of 25% payment for those unsold dates.

Check-in and Check-out:

• Check-in is from 4:00 pm on your arrival day.

• Check-out time is no later than 10:00 am on your departure day.

We appreciate your cooperation to allow us time to prepare the gîte for incoming guests.

General Conditions and Liability:
La Vernière Cordais is located in a rural area. The owners cannot be held responsible for interruptions to utilities or services beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, strikes, acts of war, riots, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.

Tenants and visitors accept responsibility for their own safety and security whilst on the premises. The management accepts no liability for any injury, theft, loss, accidents, or damage to personal property, vehicles, or their contents during the stay.

Respect for the Property and Other Guests:
Please treat La Vernière Cordais with care and consideration. Noise should be kept to a respectful level, especially during evening hours, and the property must be left in a clean and tidy condition. Smoking is not allowed inside the property. Pets are not allowed.
